Frequently asked questions
Is this legal advice?
No. N400Tracker is an informational tool and is not affiliated with USCIS. Confirm your eligibility with USCIS or a licensed immigration attorney before you file.
Is Premium a subscription?
No. Premium Lifetime is a one-time purchase. There is no renewal and nothing to cancel.
I bought Premium but it is not showing, or I got a new phone.
Open the app, go to Settings, then Purchases, and tap "Restore purchase". Make sure the phone is signed in to the same Apple Account or Google Account you used to buy it. Purchases do not carry over between iPhone and Android, because each store keeps its own records.
Where is my data stored? Can I move it to a new phone?
Only on your device. We have no server, so we cannot restore or transfer your trips. Your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google device backup) may carry app data to a new phone of the same type. Deleting the app deletes your data.
Which civics test applies to me?
If your N-400 was filed on or after October 20, 2025, you take the 2025 test. If it was filed before that date, you take the 2008 test. The app picks the version from the filing date you enter, and you can change it at any time.
The app says a trip puts my continuous residence at risk. What does that mean?
A trip of more than 6 months (about 180 days) can break continuous residence, and a trip of 1 year or more generally does. The app flags these trips so you can review them. Confirm your situation with USCIS or an immigration attorney.
Why does my earliest filing date look early?
USCIS accepts the N-400 up to 90 days before you reach 5 years (or 3 years through marriage) as a permanent resident. The app includes that early filing window.
How do I request a refund?
See the Refund Policy. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google depending on where you bought Premium.
Known limitations
- Calculations use only the dates you enter. Missing or wrong trips give wrong results.
- The app does not cover special cases such as military service, certain employment abroad (Form N-470) or children of citizens.
- Civics answers that depend on current officials (for example your senators) must be checked at uscis.gov/citizenship/testupdates.
- There is no sync between devices.
